Property Investment Analyst:

The role exists to support the Asset Management function. The Property Investment Analyst will take responsibility for conducting a thorough research analysis in Botswana, including analyzing property investment opportunities in line with approved investment framework, performance analysis of existing assets and market trends. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and evaluating the feasibility of property investment opportunities in target markets for clients.
  • Conducting thorough investment research, including conducting financial analysis, cash flow projections, and ROI calculations, to assist clients in making informed investment decisions.
  • Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients or networking.
  • Developing and managing relationships with key client accounts, including preparing detailed reports and presentations on a periodic basis.
  • Ensuring the implementation of set policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance to risk and governance provisions and requirements.
  • Supports the due diligence process for property acquisitions including ensuring the review and availability of contractual documentation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional both internally and externally to gather relevant information, for insights, and to ensure availability of policy documentation.
  • Assisting the Asset Manager in reporting all relevant matters to the Investment Committee and clients.
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date data bases whilst ensuring data integrity.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or related Business discipline from a recognised institution.
  • A professional certificate in the CFA program, CAIA or working towards the same would be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Asset Management or a similar role in the financial services sector.
  • Proven knowledge of the Real Estate Market and emerging trends, and a broad knowledge of investment management.
  • Sound mathematical skills are necessary, as well as the proficient use of computers, research methodologies, report writing and presentation skills.
