The Coronavirus pandemic has become such a global event that will undoubtedly change the way we lead our lives and will ultimately change how we conduct our businesses and service our clients.

Despite the country having not recorded any cases thus far, there are restrictions that have been put in place by the Government in a bid to limit the potential spread of the virus. As the Company, we have taken on board these measures and have taken the responsibility to ensure that our patrons and clients continue to be safe and healthy as well as ensure business continuity within our properties.

To mitigate risks and reduce the possibility of the spread of the virus, Khumo has undertaken some of the below measures;

  • Following guidance from the Government and World Health Organisation, our focus is to increase awareness and education around the disease, encourage personal hygiene and encourage social distancing.
  • Visible dissemination of information about the virus at all properties under our management.
  • Distribution of hand sanitizers to staff members.
  • Installation of hand sanitizers at all buildings access points.
  • Discouraging physical contact amongst staff.
  • The company has taken a stance to limit international travel by staff.
  • Separated key personnel from Head Office to other stations.
  • Canceled all events that were to be hosted at malls under our management.

Lastly, note that Coronavirus has high infectivity but low mortality and over 80% of people recover from the disease, so do not panic and make irrational decisions.
