Airport Junction is excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Since opening its doors in 2012 to shoppers in Gaborone, the Centre has positioned itself to be one of the preferred shopping destinations in the country. Home to about 100 local and international retailers, Airport Junction has been offering customers with the best dining, entertainment and shopping experiences for the past 10 years.

Mr Outule Bale, CEO of Khumo Property Asset Management said “We are happy to  grow and change with our customers, 10 years is a testament of our success and dedication to providing the highest quality and in demand dining, entertainment and shopping experience.” He continued to say that since its launch in 2012, Airport Junction has transformed with the addition of new reputable and mostly citizen owned shops, facilities and attractions which have enhanced the shopping experience in Gaborone to outstanding levels which has resulted in the Mall winning several awards and being the mall of choice in the region.

Airport Junction remains an industry leader and has a reputation for being the first mall  to welcome some of the finest international retail outlets such as Fabiani, Virgin Active, Rocomamas, Cotton ON, Dischem, Toys’R’Us, Marcels, Builder’s Warehouse and many more. The Mall continues to improve its shopper experience by expansions and addition of more internationally acclaimed stores with the likes of Factorie and Typo opening in June.

“We have reached this milestone through economic trials and tribulations but are really looking forward to greater accomplishments with the support of our customers, tenants and shareholders,” Bale concluded.

Marking this great milestone Airport Junction will thank and reward its customers with an exciting “Shop&Win” campaign. Customers who spend P100 or more at any shop at the mall will stand a chance to win shopping vouchers of up to P10,000. This campaign will run from the 1st of May to the 31st of July.

To launch this three months long campaign, a cake cutting ceremony was held at the Edgar’s Centre Court on Saturday 30th from 9am to 12noon. The first 1000 customers were spoilt with a share of the birthday cake and cupcakes on the day.

“We can’t emphasis enough how our customers are our main priority and we will strive to make sure that they have the best shopping experience that exceeds their expectations at our mall,” said Miriam Nkitseng, the Retail Property Manager at Khumo.

In its effort to promote green technology and environmental sustainability, Airport Junction is and remains the only shopping centre in Botswana to supply its shops with solar electricity. To encourage this green movement, the Mall will donate 100 solar lamps to 50 scholars at Gakgatla Primary School.
